Fees

Payment: In California, we are a private pay practice and accept checks, debit cards, and all major credit cards. In Kansas and New Hampshire we are both a private pay practice and accept Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Insurance: In California, we do not accept insurance directly. For those with PPO plans, please speak with your therapist about superbill options for potential reimbursement. In Kansas and New Hampshire, Aliah accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield or she can offer a superbill for clients with PPO plans.

Counseling Clients Good Faith Estimate: Per the, “No Surprises Act: (H.R. 133), you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

Fee Transparency

The Rivers Journey: Counseling & Wellness Services offers counseling and wellness services at state industry standards.

Individual sessions: $175-$225 for a 53 to 60-minute session. Individual counselors may offer a sliding scale option
Couples and families: $200-$225 for a 53 to 60-minute session. Individual counselors may offer a sliding scale
Group Counseling: $100 for a 90-minute group session with a total of 8 sessions per group. For group counseling to offer its full benefit, clients must commit to attending all sessions. If attendance is interrupted, we will work with you to support your and the group’s experience.
Wellness and coaching services are offered at various hourly rates ranging from $150-$225 a session dependent on the service and level of training and experience of the practitioner.
Presentations, workshops, and retreat facilitation fees vary and are dependent on the facilitator and the requested service

Cancelation Policy: If you cannot attend your scheduled appointment, please provide us with a 24-hour notice. If you do not provide us with this notice, you may be responsible to pay the full cost of the missed session.
